Operation Wisdom started in 2014 as a handful of students and educators who desired to learn how to become better global citizens. Since then, we have grown exponentially. Today we are an education-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a student-majority Board of Directors and hundreds of members across northern Wake County. Our mission is to develop global awareness and leadership in our local school systems through international community building and service-learning. You can learn all about our programs, including our trip to Ghana, by exploring our web site. 

As part of our curriculum, we aim to teach students how to utilize their community resources and local partnerships to bring real and lasting change to places around the world. As part of this learning process, Operation Wisdom students are encouraged to seek out corporate sponsors. The money raised from these sponsorships helps local Operation Wisdom programs create unique learning opportunities for our schools; for example, in 2016-17, we launched a brand new honors elective course for all Wake County high schools called Global Leadership: 21st Century Service-Learning. We also hosted our second annual Operation Wisdom Spring Bazaar, an event that raised $5,000 for student programs and scholarships. Neither of these events would not be possible without funding from our business sponsors.

Since the beginning of 2014, Operation Wisdom has been featured on WRAL morning news, the WCPSS home page, the Raleigh News & Observer (three times), the Wake Weekly (twice), and the Rolesville Buzz (twice). • We are growing. Since our creation in 2013, Operation Wisdom has grown from 12 students at one school to over 200 students at 4 schools (and growing). We started in Heritage High School. Now, Operation Wisdom has programs at Heritage High, Heritage Middle, Rolesville High and Wake Forest High Schools. We hope to expand throughout Wake County by the end of the year. When you sponsor Operation Wisdom, you are helping a lot of students get some truly unique learning opportunities.​
• All sponsors have the option of getting added to our e-mail list and Twitter account to receive regular updates about our program, including opportunities to partner with our program throughout the school year. In fact, last year one of our business sponsors sat on our Board of Directors. Operation Wisdom is looking for more than just money from our sponsors; we are looking for real and lasting partnerships. ​
• Operation Wisdom purposefully keeps our sponsor numbers low (five), meaning your business is truly appreciated and your interests truly matter to us.

What type of sponsorship opportunities are available?

​​Corporate Sponsor ($250; five max Corporate Sponsors): Help Operation Wisdom continue to develop and expand its programs across the state when you become a Corporate Sponsor. Your sponsorship fee goes toward providing student scholarships, launching new clubs, and developing/expanding existing programs. What's in it for you? Corporate Sponsors get their business logo and link on our web site's home page (averaging nearly 300 unique visitors per week), become a frequent "guests" on our rapidly expanding social media presence (750 Twitter followers), and get free advertising at major Operation Wisdom events (like our annual pep rallies which draw over 1,500 students).

Community Sponsor ($250; five max Community Sponsors per school): Unlike Corporate Sponsors that help fund the expansion of Operation Wisdom programs throughout the region, Community Sponsors help fund our local programs already in existence. When you are a Community Sponsor, you are connecting your brand to your local Operation Wisdom Club. Each Club is able to get up to five Community Sponsors.

Ultimately, it is up to each OW Club to provide incentive and partner effectively with their Community Sponsors (this is part of their learning process); however, there is at least one common advertising opportunity for each  one of our Community Sponsors. A part of all sponsorship fees will pay for a high quality 10x3 sponsors banner (see images right). This banner is hung at a strategic location within the local school where the OW Club is housed. Then, hundreds, if not thousands, of people see it every week. Additionally Clubs are encouraged to advertise for their sponsors whenever local, community-based fundraisers occur (e.g. OW Spring bazaar, golf tournament, etc.). Ultimately, it is up to the students and their clubs to recruit and maintain these partnerships in a way that is beneficial for all.
